TOWNSHIP OF SPRINGFIELD RESOLUTION 2019-108

WHEREAS, by way of Resolution 2019-08, adopted on January 1, 2019, the Township Committee awarded a contract to Charles Blau, Esq., of the firm Blau & Blau, Esqs., for the provision of legal services in connection with reverse tax appeals; and WHEREAS, the Township wishes to amend Resolution 2019-08 and the above-mentioned contract to clarify the terms of that engagement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Springfield, County of Union, State of New Jersey, that: 1. Resolution 2019-08, adopted on January 1, 2019, appointing Charles Blau, Esq., of the firm Blau & Blau, Esqs., as Special Counsel for Tax Appeals (“Reverse” Appeals) for the year 2019, be amended principally to clarify that this appointment is on a contingent fee basis of 33%; and 2. The contract awarded pursuant to Resolution 2019-08 shall be amended as set forth in the Amended Contract for Professional Services, attached hereto. Explanation: This resolution is to approve execution of an agreement for use of the Springfield Community Pool by Wizards of the Mind.

TOWNSHIP OF SPRINGFIELD RESOLUTION NO. 2019-104

WHEREAS, the Township Committee of the Township of Springfield has determined that it would be in the best interest of the Township to allow the use of the Springfield Community Pool by Wizards of the Mind for its summer program; and WHEREAS, a fee schedule for private camp users of the Springfield Community Pool was presented to Wizards of the Mind with the understanding that it would be subjected to this fee schedule in 2019 should it wish to contract with the Springfield Community Pool; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Springfield, County of Union, State of New Jersey, that the Mayor and the Clerk of the Township of Springfield are hereby authorized, respectively, to execute and attest to an Agreement with Wizards of the Mind for its use of the Springfield Community Pool on Monday-Friday, from Monday, June 24, 2019, through Friday, August 2, 2019, inclusive (and as extended by mutual agreement as set for therein) in a form approved by the Township Attorney. BOARD OF EDUCATION SUMMIT, NEW JERSEY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Meeting of the Board of Education will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019, in the Summit City Hall Council Chambers at 6:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting will be for the Board of Education to certify and adopt the final 2019-2020 school budget for presentation to the Board of School Estimate. It is expected that formal action will be taken at the aforesaid meeting. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SUBLICENSE BETWEEN THE CITY OF SUMMIT AND THE NEW JERSEY BIKE WALK COALITION (Train Station Bike Shelter) Ordinance Summary: The purpose of this ordinance is to authorize a five (5) year sublicense agreement between the City of Summit and the New Jersey Bike Walk Coalition for the construction, maintenance and operation of a bike shelter and locker structure on property licensed by the City from New Jersey Transit.
