Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Borough Clerk of the Borough of Mountainside for: “CONTRACT 2025-5 – RESURFACING OF CHAPEL HILL AND OUTLOOK DRIVE WEST” Plans and specifications will be available on September 18, 2025. TOWNSHIP OF SPRINGFIELD RESOLUTION NO. 2025-228

WHEREAS, Portofino Builders LLC., was awarded a contract on September 10, 2024, by Resolution 2024-222 in the amount of $648,674.10 and did perform improvements to Milltown Road and Smithfield Drive – per Contract SP-2024-03 9the “Contract”); and WHEREAS, the Township Engineer and the Township’s project engineer Greenman- Pedersen, Inc. recommend a modification to the Contract pursuant to the Contract’s terms, consisting of authorized extra and supplemental charges as well as cost reductions as detailed in the documentation provided by the project Engineer comprising Change Order No. 1; and WHEREAS, proposed Change Order No. 1, as a whole, constitutes a net reduction in the total contract award amount reducing the amount from $648,674.10 to $634,550.65. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Township Committee of the Township of Springfield, County of Union, State of New Jersey, does hereby approve Change Order No. 1 for the resurfacing of Milltown Road and Smithfield Drive – Contract SP-2024-03, with a revised total contract amount not to exceed $634,550.65.
