CITY OF ORANGE TOWNSHIP NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the ordinance published herewith has been finally adopted by the City Council of the City of Orange Township, in the County of Essex, New Jersey on May 20, 2025, AND APPROVED BY THE Mayor on May 21, 2025. The ordinance authorizes the execution and delivery of a Financial Agreement with Lincoln Court LLC (the “Sponsor”) in connection with a housing project located at 357 Lincoln Avenue and 365-373 Lincoln Avenue, Orange, New Jersey, identified on the Tax Map of the City of Orange Township as Block 4901, Lots 18 and 19, consisting of two multifamily affordable rental buildings containing a total of eighty-five (85) affordable units (the “Project”). Under the Financial Agreement, the improvements in connection with the Project will receive a 18-year tax exemption and the Sponsor will be obligated to pay certain annual service charges to the City in lieu of taxes on the improvements. A copy of the ordinance has been filed for public inspection in the City Clerk’s Office, located at City Hall, 29 North Day Street, Orange, New Jersey 07050. Further notice is hereby given that any action or proceeding of any kind or nature in any court questioning the validity or proper authorization of ordinance or the actions authorized to be taken as set forth in the ordinance shall be commenced within 20 days after the publication of this notice, as stated below. Notice is hereby given that the following Ordinance was Introduced and passed on First Reading on Tuesday, May 20, at 7:00 P.M. The Ordinance will be further considered on Second Reading and Final Passage at the Regular Meeting of the Orange City Council to be held at City Hall, 29 North Day Street, Orange, New Jersey on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. at which time and place all persons who may be interested therein will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning same. Information regarding remote access to the meeting may be found on the City’s website at www.orangenj.gov. and Council’s website at www.orangetwpnjcc.org. During the week prior to and up to and including the date of such meeting copies of the full ordinance will be available at no cost and during regular business hours at the Clerk’s office or on the Council’s website for the members of the general public who shall request the same. 31-2025 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ORANGE TOWNSHIP, CHAPTER 200, ENTITLED “VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC” SECTION 200-52-1 HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACES. (470 Austin Place) WHEREAS, Jose L. Vinas has in his possession a special identification card issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles of the State of New Jersey; and WHEREAS, Jose L. Vinas requested that a handicapped parking space be established in front of his home; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Orange Township that Section 200-52-1 be and is hereby amended to include a handicapped parking space at the location as follows: 470 Austin Place BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that any ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
