AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 260-9 OF THE EAST ORANGE CITY CODE TO PROVIDE FOR THE CREATION OF A STOP SIGN ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF PROSPECT TERRACE PURPOSE: Amending Sections 260-9 of the East Orange City Code to Provide for the Creation of a Stop Sign on the Southwest Corner of Prospect Street Public Notice is hereby given that at a Regular Meeting of the East Orange City Council held on Monday, May 13, 2019, the following Ordinance was Introduced and passed on First Reading and that said Ordinance will be taken up for further consideration and final passage at a Meeting of the East Orange City Council to be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 6:00 PM at East Orange City Hall, 44 City Hall Plaza, East Orange, NJ in City Council Chambers WHEREAS, the City of East Orange seeks to amend Section 260-9 of the code to provide for the creation of a stop sign at the Southwest Corner of Prospect Terrace; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF CITY OF EAST ORANGE AS FOLLOWS: Section One: §260 - 9 of the Code is amended as follows: Prospect Terrace stop sign on Eastbound side will be placed on the Southwest corner of the intersection. Section Two: Severability of Ordinance Provisions Each section of this ordinance is an independent section, and the holding of any section or part thereof to be unconstitutional, void or ineffective for any cause shall not be deemed to affect the validity or constitutionality of any other sections or parts thereof. Section Three: Inconsistencies That all ordinances• and parts of ordinances and conflicts that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed but only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency. Each section of this ordinance is an independent section, and the holding of any section or part thereof to be unconstitutional, void or ineffective for any cause shall not be deemed to affect the validity or constitutionality of any other sections or parts thereof. Section Four: This ordinance shall take effect after final passage and upon expiration of twenty {20) days following publication unless otherwise provided by resolution of this City Council Section Five: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances and conflicts that are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed but only to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency.
